Sanitation in Mozambique
In March 2012 the Frisian Urban Sanitation Programme in Mozambique invited us to share our thoughts concerning the development of sustainable solutions for sanitation in 4 major cities.

We were shown around the Xia Xia region and were impressed by the work done so far by the FUSP project team. We further discussed how to provide effective sanitation for households in Mozambique and reach financial sustainability. AAWS and FUSP decided to combine their forces in order to develop a latrine system that is no longer polluting the ground water table and which closes the nutrient cycle at the same time.
